Tenant Description
The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is an American multinational tire manufacturing company founded in 1898 by Frank Seiberling and based in Akron, Ohio. It is one of the top four tire manufacturers along with Bridgestone (Japan), Michelin (France) and Continental (Germany). In addition to Goodyear-brand tires, they also produce other well-respected international brand names such as Dunlop, Kelly, and Fulda.
Goodyear is also known for the Goodyear Blimp. The first Goodyear advertising blimp flew in 1925 and it continues to be one of the best marketing tools out of any modern company. You often see these blimps flying above major sporting events and providing downtown camera views of the city the game is being played in. They also have great marketing in the Nascar circuit. The company is the most successful tire supplier in Formula One history, with more starts, wins, and constructors’ championships than any other tire supplier.
